About

A Texas native, McKenzie Holmes is a dancer, singer-songwriter, aspiring novelist, and all-around creative. She began songwriting in 5th grade and fell in love with dance as a young teenager, having been trained in classical ballet, as well as pointe, jazz, and tap throughout high school. During college, McKenzie danced pre-professionally with the Galveston Ballet and had the honor of leading worship with Galveston House of Prayer. After taking a year to pursue missions overseas, McKenzie returned home with a passion for couple dancing and began dabbling in country-western. By day, she works in communications for a women’s public policy organization based in Washington, DC. When she’s not working or teaching dance classes, you can find her knitting, reading, baking sourdough, and training her sheepadoodle puppy, Willoughby.
